Numerous buildings supporting animal science studies have been constructed over the years since President James Gilliam Gee moved the University Farm to its current location south of campus. Current facilities include the Beef Cattle Center, Swine Center, Sheep and Goat Center, Rodeo Practice Arena, an outdoor pavilion, and numerous storage buildings and barns. The complex is home to Quarter and Thoroughbred horses, purebred Angus and Hereford cattle, a herd of commercial cattle, Boer goats, and Yorkshire cross hogs.
