Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate what factors lead to disparate views of online teaching among faculty in the biological sciences. The population for this study included full-time community college and university faculty members teaching biology courses in northeast Texas. The study was conducted using an online survey that included questions related to demographics as well as opinions regarding online course delivery and teaching. Online surveys were sent to 111 biology instructors; of these, 40 responded.
