This collection contains materials related to jazz singer Louise Tobin. Tobin married trumpeter Harry James in 1935, and they had two children. The couple divorced, and Tobin stopped performing to raise her children. She met clarinetist Michael “Peanuts” Hucko at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1962, and they married in 1967. The couple co-owned a club called the Navarre, performed at the Odessa Jazz Festival in Texas, and toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Items in this collection include photographs, posters, correspondence, and ephemera related to the careers of Louise Tobin, Peanuts Hucko and Harry James.
