This is an index of an oral history interview with Dorothy Spees Millard. It was conducted October 7, 2019. The interviewer is Marcia Lair.

This interview focuses on Dorothy Spees Millard's memories of life in Rusk County and Delta County.

Dorothy Spees Millard was born in 1924 to Percival T. and Lucy Fay Dixon Spees. She spent most of her youth in Price, Texas where her family worked as farmers during the Great Depression. After graduating from Cooper High School, she attended Brantley Draughon Business College in Fort Worth, TX. Following her graduation, she worked at the Quartermaster Depot in Forth Worth.

Dorothy Spees married Leo Millard in 1945, and they lived in Fort Worth for thirty-two years. They eventually moved to Cooper, Texas where they bought Millard's Grocery from Leo's parents. Since returning to Cooper, Dorothy Millard has been engaged in various civic activities such as, the Chamber of Commerce, a library renovation, and remodeling historic homes.
