The Industrial Education Building, as it was originally known, was constructed during President James Gee's tenure and housed shops for woodworking, metal, foundry, drafting, carpentry, crafts, and other related subjects. The Industrial Education and Technology Building (as it was later known) was located across from the present-day Rayburn Student Center, between the current Charles J. Austin Engineering & Technology/Agricultural Sciences Building and Wathena Temple.
