East Dormitory

East Dormitory was a three-story, U-shaped, wooden dormitory for men that, according to accounts from the time, housed "boarders and light-housekeepers." Following the purchase of the college by the state in 1917, East Dormitory was demolished due to a ban on dormitories on State Normal College campuses. Another dormitory, present day Henderson Hall, was originally called East Dormitory as well, but it was constructed in 1938 at a different location. East Dormitory was located at the intersection of Greenville and Mayo Streets, where Education Drive presently passes between the David Talbot Hall of Languages and Binnion Hall.
