Brought to campus as one of many Army surplus buildings following World War II, Dealey Hall contained classrooms and offices for the Department of Journalism and Speech. The building also housed the News Services Offices. Dealey Hall was named after George B. Dealey, publisher of the Dallas Morning News. It was located on the same site as the present-day Alumni Center adjacent to the Stonewall Street and Bois D'Arc Street intersection.
